TIOGIVA IS A LOW COST LLAMA

LAMAs

(Long-Acting Muscarinic
Antagonists) are effective
bronchodilators that help
COPD patients breathe
(and live) more easily.1

LLAMAs

(Low-cost Long-Acting
Muscarinic Antagonists) do
exactly the same but cost
less than other LAMAs.2,3

Tiogiva

is a once-daily therapy that offers
the efficacy and safety associated
with tiotropium4 at one of the
lowest costs,2,3 making it a true
LLAMA for COPD.

Tiogiva contains tiotropium bromide in an inhalation powder. It comes in clear hard capsules,
with a metered dose of 18 mcg tiotropium per capsule and delivered dose of 10 mcg.5

Indication5

Maintenance bronchodilator treatment to relieve symptoms of patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) in adults only.

Dosing5

The recommended dosage is one capsule once daily, inhaled using the Tiogiva capsule inhaler, at the same time of day. To get a full daily dose, the patient should inhale a second time from the same capsule.

Tiogiva is like Spiriva®

  • Same active substance and dosage5,6

  • Bioequivalent7

  • Equivalent design and functioning to HandiHaler®8

But...Costs 42% less.2,3

Tiogiva is similar to Braltus®

  • Same active substance5,9

  • Same 10 mcg delivered dose5,9

  • Has the same inhalation technique10

But...Costs 25% less.2,3

Made with simplicity in mind

No need for patients to change inhaler technique when switching from another tiotropium capsule inhaler.1,10-13

  • 91% of HandiHaler® users were able to use the Tiogiva inhaler device correctly on their first attempt8

*UK usability study involving 10 HandiHaler® users and 11 healthy volunteers with no inhaler experience. Participants were asked to use the Tiogiva device after reading the instructions for use.8

Clear capsules help patients see immediately when a full dose has been taken.5

  • The recommended dosage for Tiogiva is one capsule, once-daily, at the same time of day5

  • As with Spiriva® and Braltus®, patients are advised to take two inhalations in order to empty the capsule completely1,11,12

Tiogiva can be prescribed with an inhaler every month, or the inhaler pack on month 1 followed by repeat prescriptions of capsules for up to 5 more months.5

  • The second option creates opportunities to review inhaler technique every 6 months and helps reduce plastic waste5

Reducing the carbon footprint is a NHS priority.14

  • Tiogiva is a bioequivalent brand, no extra environmental impact is expected vs. Spiriva®7

  • Tiogiva helps reduce inhaler waste vs.inhalers like Braltus® and Acopair®1,12-14

Please note that Tiogiva capsules should only be inhaled using the Tiogiva inhaler and should not be inhaled using other capsule inhalers.

Support for you and your patients

We have recently updated the design of the Tiogiva packaging, so there are two different cartons available in the UK; this won’t affect the medicine or device received.

When you prescribe Tiogiva by brand, your patients have access to clear information and support to ensure they take their medication correctly.

We offer:

  • Tiogiva devices with capsule placebos for practices

  • A dedicated Tiogiva patient website containing information and support for patients who have been prescribed Tiogiva, with guidance on how to use their inhaler and FAQs
